Load Dump Generators
Load dump means the disconnection of a powered load. Failures of supply to equipment or customers and large voltage spikes from the inductive generator(s) are two problems caused by this disconnection. Load dump pulses simulate a sudden battery disconnection (e.g. by corrosion) from the alternator. Such load dump pulses are high energy pulses with a high potential of destruction. These pulses having duration time in the range of hundreds of milliseconds. The Load Dump Generator generates the Load Dump pulses as per ISO 7637, ISO 16750-2, SAE J1113, SAE J1455, JASO and many more manufacturer specifications.
